We appreciate your donations of gently used books, magazines, CDs, and DVDs.

Our book donation guidelines are as follows:

Current fiction & nonfiction (hardback & paperback)
Literature, classics, collectible materials
DVDs, CDs, specialty vinyl (jazz, blues, vintage)
Magazines (six months or newer)
Textbooks, computer, medical, legal books (published within the last four years)
Children’s books & magazines, puzzles

We can’t accept the following:

National Geographics, Reader’s Digests
VHS tapes, audio tapes, home-made media
Encyclopedias
Dictionaries
Anything that is moldy or damaged

The branches and the bookstore will accept up to three cartons of bags of books per donation. If you have a larger donation, contact the Friends of the Library bookstore, 951-826-5320, before bringing the materials to us.

Donations may be dropped off at any of our 8 locations during the hours they are open.

Cash Donations

Please consider making a cash donation to the Friends. See the form below. All money received by the Friends goes to the support of library programs, services and collections. Contributions are tax deductible. Our tax ID number is 33-0025736.

Partnership Program

Through the Provident Bank Community Partnership Program, participating nonprofit organizations such as the Friends of the Riverside Library can receive donations simply by having members bank with Provident Bank.
